Alana McVeigh's work is marked by simplicity of form, imbued with a sense of stillness, and informed by her enquiry into aesthetics through tradition. These exquisite forms reflect the sensitivity with which she explores the clay using her bare fingers; and her consummate application of pure colour glazes which appear so deceptively simple. It is this combination of unobtrusive technical discipline and sheer beauty, which marks out her work .
