Born in Adelaide in 1969, Peter Waller graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Art (Arts) from Curtin University of Technology, and in 2006 with a Bachelor of Fine Art (Sculpture) (Honours First Class) from the University of Tasmania School of Art.

 

He writes: "Much of my work has to do with the mute language of objects - the way their relative scale, tilt, position, etc, influence our experience of the spaces they occupy. I seek to use this language to hint at some kind of distant world, without recourse to literal representations. By way of a tenuous presence of uncertain objects I attempt to access parts of the mind that have liitle to do with drawing hard conclusions about meaning, and more to do with imaginative possibilities.
