Gillian
Warden gained a diploma of Graphic Design at Perth
Technical College in 1980 and over the last ten years
has combined her graphic and illustration skills with
those of drawing and painting. A five year residency
at the Old Customs House studios run by the Artists
Foundation of Western Australia was the operational
base for the development of what is now recognised
as her very distinctive Style.
In her rich exhibition of masked and costumed exotic
creatures, Gillian points to the commonality of life.
Behind the face masks and costumed disguises we all
adopt, the heartbeat is the same.
