Intriguing print from the Sino-Japanese War showing a Red Cross worker and a peasant encountering a wounded Chinese soldier. Bleeding from a wound to his head, the soldier huddles beside his horse under a clump of brush at the side of a narrow stream, gesturing at the two men. The man wearing western clothes carries a pistol and a walking stick, a pack slung over one shoulder and a red cross around his arm. The illustration is bordered with Chinese souvenirs from the war, including banners, weapons, and a uniform.
