Mob: 0405 698 799

Handsome depiction of the Meiji Emperor and Prince arriving at a gathering in Tokyo following Japan’s victory over China in the Sino-Japanese War. In the centre, the emperor stands next to the elegant red royal coach topped with a golden phoenix, his son at his side, both dressed in military uniforms. A general and other dignitaries greet them at the entrance of a modern stone building, with soldiers at attention waiting inside. At right, two beauties wearing the latest Western fashions bow their heads respectfully.
An interesting historic subject, nicely coloured and detailed with burnishing in the black uniforms.
